KnifeTests.com Fallkniven A1 Basic Test

This week’s test is a nice break from the destruction test we shared last week. This two-part video features the Fallkniven A1, a notable survival knife that costs about $393. Fallkniven is a Swedish company that makes a variety of knives, including fixed blades, chef knives, and survival and military knives.
According to Fallkniven, the A1 is “a semi-large all-purpose knife for heavy duty use. The powerful blade is made of extremely hard yet tough laminated VG10 steel and will withstand the stress of hard use.”
Any promises like that usually warrant a test by Noss. We’ll share the full destruction test next week, but for now, this video is more of a cutting test in which Noss uses the Fallkniven to cut a variety of materials. He slices through wood, thin rope, and cardboard. He also takes a wack at rope set on a plank of wood.
