5 Beautiful Cabins You Can Rent on Airbnb

Despite Airbnb’s mixed press as of late due to their new logo, Airbnb is an interesting service that offers people the chance to stay in unique places around the world that normally might have been unattainable. I’ve used the service once before on a trip to Canada, and it was fun to stay in a place other than a hotel or hostel–and we were in a much better location for a fraction of the cost to stay in a nearby hotel.

While I was perusing cool residencies around the world, I came across some amazing cabins in America that you can rent for the duration of your trip. Here are some of my favorites.

Log Cabin on White Salmon River, WA

cabin1

This picturesque cabin has nailed the balance between rustic and modern, and its architecture is gorgeous. At $112 a night, this is a great place to stay to go white water rafting along the White Salmon River. There’s also a BBQ, too, so you can relax after an adventurous day in the wilderness.

Tahoe Mountain Cabin in Tahoe City, CA

cabin2

OK, I’m pretty biased since I live about 20 minutes from Lake Tahoe, but I’m convinced that it’s one of the most beautiful places in the world. And staying at Tahoe in anything other than a cabin just feels weird (alright, tents count too). This cabin provides ample views of the forest and costs $300 a night to rent the entire house, which can accommodate up to 8 people. So round up some of your friends and split the cost, and partake in some world-class hiking.

The Fairplay Chalet in Fairplay, CO

cabin3

For $180 a night, you can rent the whole home and explore central and western Colorado. This cabin is “located in South Park Colorado between the quaint mountain towns of Fairplay and Alma; that’s only 23 miles to Breckenridge, home to world class skiing and surrounded by 14ers, gold medal fishing, [and] abundant wildlife.”

Luxury Mountain Lodge in Sevierville, TN

cabin4

“Luxury” is certainly an apt term for this grand cabin in Tennessee. It’s the most expensive on this list to rent at $380 a night, but you get the whole building and can house up to 14 people, so I think that’s quite a steel. Tucked away in a forest near the Smokey Mountains, this cabin is close to nature but also boasts jacuzzi tubs, HD televisions, and pillow-top beds.

Quiet Cabin in the Redwoods, Santa Cruz, CA

cabin5

This little Santa Cruz cabin is more rustic on the outside than on the inside, but it’s still a quaint little home within close distance of the Redwoods, the Santa Cruz beach boardwalk, and a short drive from Monterey. Its beautiful exterior and views will definitely make you want to spend as much time outdoors as possible.
