Heckler & Koch Germany: No Change on Lead Time

Commercial Heckler & Koch dealers round the world have received a formal letter from Heckler & Koch Germany this week stating that they will not receive any update on delivery time for products they ordered until the last quarter of 2018.
This is a continuation of a well known issue at Heckler & Koch: long lead time on delivery. With the American M27 & M110A1, British L85A3 Mid Life Improvement, French HK416F, Dutch HK416A5, German/Berlin SFP9 contracts, HK Germany will be running 24/7 at full manufacturing capacity well into the next decade.
Delivering products on time for military and law enforcement clients are critical. Any delays are likely to incur severe penalties but it will also affect HK’s ability to win future contracts, hurting the business long term.
On the other hand, Heckler & Koch USA have announced on Instagram that they will be producing MR762 rifle domestically at their new facility. They have also mentioned at various social media platforms that US customers will see something they have never seen before, hinting the possibility of producing semi-auto version of the G36 at the new US factory.
