A ban on bump stocks has stalled in congress and is dead in the water. Chances are, it is not going anywhere.
It is almost comical watching gun-grabbing liberals flailing around like a fish out of water. How are they going to spin this when even Dianne Feinstein said “No Gun Law Would Have Stopped Las Vegas Shooter“.

Three weeks after the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history, efforts to pass even scaled-down gun-control legislation have effectively stalled on Capitol Hill.
Congressional aides and issue advocates say they see no viable path for passing even the most promising bill: an effort to ban the manufacturing and sale of bump stocks, which were used by the Las Vegas shooter to essentially turn his semi-automatic weapons into fully automatics ones.
Two separate bills were introduced:
- One in the House – Introduced by Carlos Curbelo and Seth Moulton has 20 co-sponsors. There are 435 house House members. With only 20 sponsors, that is less than 5% of the House.
- One in the Senate – Introduced by Sen. Dianne Feinstein has 39 Democratic co-sponsors and no Republican co-sponsors.
Both bills have to go through committees chaired by Republicans.
On top of that, the bill would have to be signed by President Trump, who has said he is a friend of gun owners.
It will be interesting to see how the mainstream media presents this to the general public during the 2018 mid-term elections.
