Watch: Guy Builds Homemade Travel Trailer From Scratch

Ever owned something that wasn’t quite what you wanted it to be? Seems like that often happens with travel trailers. Poor layout, poor insulation, lousy materials, and bad design have long plagued RV owners. This guy’s solution was to build his own!

Yep, he found a small trailer frame with heavy-duty running gear and built this thing from scratch without any plans. The video below is a narrated slide show that shows the progression of construction (though sometimes out of chronological order).

When he was done, the trailer weighed in at 1100 pounds.
