Video: Will This Super-Fast Magazine Loader Work for Your Pistol?
Russ Chastain 09.21.15
This magazine loader looks great, but will it work on your pistol magazines?
Probably not.
Most handgun magazines (they’re not clips) require each round to be placed below the mag’s feed lips and then pushed rearward. This loader, on the other hand, is designed for magazines that allow ammo to be simply crammed in from above.
You know, it’s like loading an AR magazine. You can just pop in each round by pressing it downward into the magazine.
The video title says it’s for MP9 and HK MP5 magazines.
It’s called the B&T speed loader, and I found it for sale online here and there. One page describes it as “the quickest mag loader ever developed.” It also says it “will work with all HK MP5, MP5K style mags in all capacities.”
So while this thing looks excellent and we all wish loading our pistol mags could be this easy, it just doesn’t work for that. So I’ll stick with my uplula for loading mags for Glock, Sig, Beretta, or dang near any pistol.
Nonetheless, it’s impressive and this short video is worth watching. And if you ever need to load a MP9 or MP5 mag while wearing a hockey glove, well, that’s apparently not a problem.
