Survival caching with the Monovault

On and off again over the years I’ve given some thought to how and where to create a buried survival cache, but so far it’s been on my “I’ll start researching that when I have a spare month” list. There are a lot of people who swear by this or that caching container — PVC pipe is one of the most popular that I’ve seen — but I always leave these discussion threads feeling like I’m not quite sure what the best solution is.
So I was loving this SurivalCache.com article on the Monovault, a brand new, purpose-built survival cache container. These non-metallic containers are actually made with firearms in mind, but of course if you stick a gun in it then someone will be able to find it with a metal detector.
If any of you guys have experience with the Monovault or any other comparable survival cache container, I’d love to hear about it in the comments.
